MI 49090 March 4, 2010 The 25th Annual Banquet of the Lake Michigan Chapter of Pheasants Forever will be held on March 24, 2010, at Lakeside Entertainment Center in South Haven. The doors will open at 6:00 pm. If you know of anyone that may want to join us, but isn't a member, they can become a member that night! For a single person, the cost is $20 for the meal and $35 for the membership. If you would like to bring your significant other, the cost will be $35 for two meals and $35 for the membership fee. If you are already a member of our chapter or another PF Chapter, you pay only for the meal (single-$20, double-$35). We are also offering the Early Bird Special again this year, which is with your newsletter. This can be sent to Mike Seroke if you are interested. We look forward to seeing new faces and other chapter members. We will also be accepting all major credit cards this year for our auction items. Please don't forget your membership card! If you are unfamiliar with South Haven, Lakeside Entertainment Center is located approximately 1 mile south of South Haven at the intersection of Blue Star Highway and M-140. Please make checks payable to Lake Michigan Chapter of Pheasants Forever and send to Mike. Hope to see you there! Other Notes of Interest Pyle's Porthole is having it's 2nd Annual Spring Open House. It will be held on Saturday, April 17, from 11 am - 4 pm. They will have food provided by Bob's Processing, along with drawings and door prizes, as well as savings throughout the day. Pyle's Porthole is on Dunkley Ave., between the draw bridge and boat launch in South Haven. They have a website to check out as well, www.pylesporthole.com. Seed and tree orders are here again! Remember that these trees provide natural cover and food for the wildlife. Some of the more common species are Colorado Blue Spruce, White Pine, Rugosa Rose, Highbush Cranberry, Sargent Crabapple and Juneberry. Call Bob Linderman with any question, 269-214-2550. Please place your order by March 24th. Goose banding will take place again either on the 3rd or 4th weekend in June! Good time to get down and dirty-the kids love this!! HELP NEEDED!!! Can anyone pick up 12 bags of seed in Stockbridge? This is northeast of Jackson. Any volunteers would be greatly appreciated. This would have to be on Friday March 19th, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, or Saturday March 20th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The 12 bags will weigh about 425 Ibs.
